Tottenham have been in inspired form in the Premier league and will head into this fixture over Championship side Aston Villa with a lot of confidence. They have just beaten league leaders Chelsea and are scoring goals for fun, where they have 10 in their last 3 games. The only problem that can be foreseen here is which side they will pick, but traditionally the club usually play a very strong team even for cup games.
Aston Villa has climbed up the table after a miserable start but they are still only in mid-table. They have lost 3 of their last 4 matches away from home and will come into this game as easy underdogs.
However Villa has a good tradition of going far in cup campaigns, but they are just 7 points from a play-off place and it’s hard to see why a cup match even an FA Cup one would take priority over that. Villa will come here to frustrate their opponents, but will inevitably lack the quality especially playing away from home.
