Real Madrid vs AS Roma Striming; UCL, 8 March 2016

Despite holding a 2-0 lead heading into the second leg of this last 16 tie, Real Madrid will be actutely aware that they are not yet through to the quarter finals of the competition.

Indeed last season at the same stage Los Blancos returned from Gelsenkirchen with a 2-0 win over Schalke only to lose the second leg 4-3 at the Bernabeu and come extremely close to a humiliating elimination. Zinedine Zidane’s men will therefore be keen to avoid another similar scare on Tuesday night.

For the neutral this should be an entertaining clash with both Madrid and Roma enjoying high-scoring domestic wins at the weekend, yet while the Giallorossi were superb from start to finish in beating Fiorentina 4-1, Los Blancos’ 7-1 destruction of Celta Vigo left a few questions for the coach.
