Leicester City registered their first away game in English soil this season by defeating Everton 2-1 in the FA Cup fixture last weekend. The Toffees were leading by a Romeu Lukaku goal, but a quick fire double from Ahmed Musa did the job for the Foxes. Leicester’s only other away win this season came against Club Brugge in the Champions League group stage fixture. Claudio Ranieri’s men are coming on the back of a win and a draw in their last two Premier League fixtures and are 15th in the standings, 6 points above the relegation zone.
Chelsea’s winning streak in the Premier League came to end with the 2-0 loss to the North London rivals Tottenham two weeks ago. The Blues remain at the top of the table, while their gap with Liverpool is narrowed to 5 points. Antonio Conte knows well that he cannot afford to drop more points at the moment. Other than Liverpool, the likes of Spurs, Manchester City and Arsenal are all inside an 8 point gap.
