The Nerazzurri have not lost a game since early December, when they were humiliated 3-0 by Napoli. Since then, they have won eight straight games across all competitions; six of those were in Serie A. Inter have not won seven in a row in the league since November 2012, but they are looking good to match that record against the struggling Delfini this weekend.

It wasn’t the prettiest of games, but Stefano Pioli’s men ground out a tough and gritty 1-0 result over Palermo. The Rosanero, who are also in danger of relegation, put up a tough fight, but unfortunately all that hard work came to nothing as Inter finally got the breakthrough they were seeking. Currently, the Nerazzurri find themselves in fifth spot, and could move up into fourth, depending on the outcome of Lazio’s tie with Chievo.

As for Pescara, well, their misery appears to have no end. They took on Sassuolo last weekend, and the Neroverdi got some revenge on them. Earlier this season, the two sides met, and Sassuolo won the game, only to have that result reversed due to an administrative error. That, to date, is Pescara’s only victory, and unfortunately, this past weekend, there was no clerical error to grant them a customary three points.
