Fans will surely be in for a treat as Inter take on Napoli to wrap up matchday 34 on Sunday evening.

Napoli come into this game having had to settle for a 2-2 draw with Sassuolo, which again exposed their defensive problems that have yet to be fully addressed. However, the Partenopei play some of the most attractive football in Serie A and have had a solid campaign thus far. They’re pretty much guaranteed a top three spot, but will be making a push for second in order to get immediate access to the Champions League group stages.

Meanwhile, Inter have hit yet another rough patch. Fans thought that Stefano Pioli had helped the Nerazzurri turn a corner after the disaster under Frank De Boer, but they are now five games without a win. It seems like a while ago that they absolutely crushed Atalanta 7-1, but now La Dea are actually ahead of Inter in the league table, and they are battling to secure sixth spot. That’s a shocking turn of results for a team who had once wanted to secure Champions League football for next season.

During this winless run, Inter dropped three vital points against Crotone in what certainly was one of the biggest shock results of the season. They have shipped 13 goals in their last five games and can’t seem to hang on to a win. That was on display in the recent Derby della Madonnina, where they barely managed a draw after going 2-0 up to settle for a 2-2 draw. And even more disconcerting was their performance against Fiorentina.

The nine goal thriller was a treat for neutrals, but shipping four in less than 20 minutes will not have pleased Inter fans one bit. Before they realized it, they had gone from 2-1 up to 5-2 behind, and only managed to fire in two more due to the Viola’s fragile defense.
